Decades of conservation and research in Manu have been made possible through collaboration with organisations in Peru and around the world.

People returning to the forest, season after season, so protection never becomes absence.

Generational protection of our reserve which is facilitated by human monitoring.

643 hectares of regenerating rainforest in the most biodiverse place on the planet.

Using our long-term monitoring program to train the next generation of Peruvian and international conservation practitioners while contributing to the biodiversity data in data deficient tropical Peru.

Crees and Ecotone are committed to creating social enterprises within Manu such as Sustainable Cacao, Agroforestry and Ecotourism, these methods help elevate pressure from exploitative economic methods such as mining and logging.

No. A biodiversity credit represents ecological gain within a designated area during a particular year. You are acquiring verified evidence of positive biodiversity impact within our forest reserve, helping support its ongoing ecological recovery, research and education programmes.
No. Credits do not expire. Each credit has a “vintage” representing ecological gain generated in a particular year. A credit would only be voided in the event of a complete permanence failure, for example, if the Manu Learning Centre reserve were completely lost.
NAT5 analyses the biodiversity and structural metrics associated with the Manu Learning Centre reserve to determine the number of biodiversity credits representing the ecological gain generated by Crees. The process is also independently verified by biodiversity and natural capital experts.
A blockchain-verified certificate and proof of purchase linked to the project and its biodiversity impact.
Under the current policy and operational structure, Nature-Positive Credits held within the NAT5 Registry are not eligible for transfer outside the NAT5 Registry.
This limitation helps protect the integrity, traceability and uniqueness of Nature-Positive Credits until sufficiently robust transfer mechanisms are in place.
We are pioneering a new financial model to help fund conservation in Peru, within one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. Your participation supports the generation and sale of some of Peru’s first biodiversity credits, helping create a new source of funding for long-term conservation.
An original miniature portrait inspired by the biodiversity of our forest reserve, presented in a medieval-style frame. Each framed artwork is paired with a Forest Promise and its associated biodiversity credit.
The Manu Learning Centre reserve is located in the buffer zone of the Manu Biosphere Reserve in Peru. Its location is strategically important because the reserve helps form a protective buffer between surrounding areas and the core of Manu National Park.
